Contest and play were needed bright moments

To the Editior:

I entered a contest online a few weeks ago on your Web site for tickets to a play in Syracuse. I won! I would like to thank you for having these contests for your readers. It's a bright spot in an otherwise disturbing time.

Another big round of applause to Appleseed Productions of Atonement Lutheran Church on Glen Avenue in Syracuse for its play, "High Society." We were just delighted with the intimate stage and seating, coffee and ice water on each table, and complimentary desserts at intermission. What an enjoyable evening!

Credit each cast member for their performance, especially Amanda Vogue as Dinah. This youngster has a great career ahead of her. Her antics kept a smile on our faces. Thank you to all.
